Scholarship Opportunities
Win up to $5,000 With Empire Beauty Schools Sponsored Scholarships!
Norman Langlois Memorial Scholarship Program
The fund was established to aid eligible students in pursuing a career in Cosmetology, Barbering, or Esthetics at any Empire Beauty Schools location. Requires submission of a video and entry form completion.
Three (3) winners 1 per school location will be awarded up to $5,000.00* dependent on approved program. Scholarship(s) award will be credited to the student’s accounts to offset the cost of tuition only. Every entry will receive up to a $500 scholarship for entering**. Winners will be awarded their scholarships at our Spring Open House in April and our Fall Open House in November.
Deadline: Spring – March 31st, Fall – September 30th
*$2,500.00 for Esthetics or Barbering Program. $5000 for Cosmetology or 900-Hour Esthetics.
** Limit one entry scholarship per student, $250.00 for Esthetics or Barbering. $500.00 for Cosmetology or 900-Hour Esthetics.
***Does not apply to current Empire Beauty Schools students or Empire Staff. Scholarship limited to one Empire Beauty Schools Scholarship per enrollee. Students must complete the program to receive the scholarship.
Fall 2023 Recipients
Friends and Family Scholarship
Enroll in school with a friend or family member and earn a scholarship; $1000.00 towards the Cosmetology and 900-Hour Esthetics programs and $500.00 towards Esthetics and Barbering programs.
*Limited time only. Does not apply to current Empire Beauty Schools students or Empire Staff. Scholarship limited to one Empire Beauty Schools “Friends & Family” Scholarship per enrollee. To receive a scholarship both you and your friend need to sign up for any program offered, in the same location and must be within 30 days of each other enrollment. Students must complete the program to receive the scholarship.
“Build Your Own Empire” Scholarship
- Seniors: Enroll in school before your year of graduating ends from High School, Registered Home school, GED or HiSet.
- Alumni: If you are referred by Alumni from Empire Beauty Schools, our past students send us the best future students!
- Salons: Who do you know who would love to join this amazing industry?
The “Build Your Own Empire” Scholarship offers $1000.00 towards the Cosmetology and 900-Hour Esthetics programs and $500.00 towards Esthetics and Barbering programs.

Beauty Changes Lives Scholarships
Established as a 501c3 in 2013, Beauty Changes Lives is a non-profit organization awarding beauty school tuition scholarships generously funded by leading beauty brands. The Beauty Changes Lives scholarship portfolio includes tuition scholarships for aspiring hairstylists, nail professionals, estheticians, makeup artists, massage therapists, and barbers. In addition to “basic” scholarships, Beauty Changes Lives offers “advanced” scholarships for licensed professionals, including beauty educators. Since its inception, Beauty Changes Lives has awarded more than 500 scholarships, opening doors of opportunity that range from working behind the scenes at New York Fashion Week to opening thriving businesses. BCL – MUD Makeup Scholarship
Generously funded by Make-up Designory (MUD), the MUD Makeup Scholarship offers five $2,500.00 scholarships twice a year for a total of $25,000. The MUD scholarship is open to any student attending an AACS member school who is enrolled in any program that offers a MUD makeup course.
Established in 2016, the MUD Makeup Scholarship is the first Beauty Changes Lives program focused on makeup artistry. Beauty Changes Lives President Lynelle Lynch said, “Beauty Changes Lives is committed to helping individuals pursue the many diverse career paths available in the professional beauty and wellness industry. The addition of a makeup scholarship complements the established scholarship programs that support cosmetology, nail, esthetics, and massage therapy programs and allows the Foundation to offer a comprehensive suite of beauty and wellness scholarships.” Call BCL directly at: 760-733-8383
The Joe Francis Haircare Scholarship Foundation
The Joe Francis Haircare Scholarship Foundation was established in 1994 by his wife of 39 years, Flo Francis, and the many people whom Joe Francis advised and mentored to their own success in the industry. The mission of the foundation is to help deserving students receive financial assistance for the professional training necessary to build successful, long-term careers in the cosmetology industry. Applications are accepted from January 1st through June 1st each year.
The Great Scholarship Program – Great Clips
Who says you can’t soar with shears? Great Clips encourages you to show the world what you’re all about. To make it easier, they provide over $100,000 in scholarships and professional tools to cosmetology students each year! The scholarship award and professional tools are valued between $250 – $1,500.
